Two Underground Stations Connecting the Urban Context

Opera House Station and Bason Station are underground stations located in the downtown area along Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 1. Opera House Station was designed to harmonize with the surrounding streetscape, which features a concentration of historic buildings, creating an elegant station space that complements the urban landscape.Basong Station was designed to incorporate the open environment along the Saigon River and surrounding developments, creating a space that responds to the area’s future vision.Through underground connections to surrounding buildings, both stations support a safe and comfortable pedestrian network and urban circulation. By promoting development along the line centered on public transportation, they form an urban space that serves as the foundation for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) in Ho Chi Minh City.
